Facilities
Here at Grosvenor School, we believe that learning not only happens in the classroom but in the greater school environment. We have several sensory rooms, a cookery kitchen, a sensory garden and a playground. We also have the wider community beyond our gates where our students can access the local shops and take a trip on the Luas.
Swimming:
Swimming is provided by accessing the St Michael's House Hydro pool in Belcamp and Tallaght Leisure centre. See links below:

Sensory Rooms:
Our First Room is our Calm Room - This Sensory Room was designed to provide a calm and sensory experience. There is a false grass floor for tactile input, There is also Fiber optics, a light up ball pool and a giant Bubble tube. It also has a sound system that can be used to play either calming music or the students favourite music. This sensory Room was designed to allow students to regulate their emotions in a soothing and relaxed environment. It also is blacked out which provides an engaging and safe space for students.
Our Second room is the Movement Room - We have created a brand new Gross Motor Room for our students this year. This room comprises of a full climbing wall the length of the room, a double cosy den with a slide. There is also a trampet, infinity mirrors, tactile walls and a Double Swing. Our students absolutely love this room. It is fully padded also and we have extra crash mats for the climbing wall sections. Gross Motor Rooms are brilliant for allowing students to improve their coordination, balance, and strength while also building social skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
We are also adding another room to this section - We have a Brand new Music Room being created. This Music Room will pose great sentiment to our school community as it is a memorial to a late colleague. It will include a Sound beam, Piano among other new equipment that will benefit our students. As according to the American Music therapy Organisation - "Research supports connections between speech and singing, rhythm and motor behavior, memory for recall and retention of academic material, and overall ability of preferred music to enhance mood, attention, and behavior to optimize the student's ability to learn and interact."
